COURSE SEQUENCING: The sequences below indicate the preferred order of completion per the Fall 2025 catalog. Please note that some courses may not be available during the summer, and prerequisites are subject to change. Additionally, your catalog year may differ from Fall 2025.
Due to the sequential order of Mass Communication courses, students should be aware of course prerequisites and minimum course grade requirements found in the undergraduate catalog. These programs are highly prerequisite-driven, which may impact your anticipated graduation timeline if not carefully followed.
SJMC Degree Sequencing
Each course in a sequence needs a “C” or better to advance in the program. If a “C” is not achieved, the course will need to be retaken.
